All are invited to celebrate the love that ties our families together at a Found Families Mass at 9 a.m. on Sunday, November 7.
What is a “Found Family”? The Found Families Mass recognizes the diversity of Catholic families, and also speaks to the reality that special graces may be sought through prayer by families with particular needs. Found Families:
- may be united through adoption, foster care, or marriage with step-children; be cared for by a single parent; or have suffered through a divorce.
- may struggle with illness, disability, domestic violence, addictions, or grief.
In all circumstances, Found Families want to celebrate their commitment to each other through good times and bad. By your loving example, may others also find a place in their hearts and their homes for children and for the mercy of God.
Please join us for the Found Families Mass, either in church or virtually via our livestream on our parish website, Facebook and YouTube. Families will be asked to stand at their places for the blessing. The Found Families Mass is an outgrowth of November’s National Adoption & Foster Care Awareness Month, but participation is not limited to those adopted or fostered.
