Congratulations on the birth of your child! We are so happy that you are interested in having your son or daughter baptized at Queen of Apostles Parish.
The first step in registering for a baptism is calling the parish office, 773-539-7510, to select a baptismal date from the list of available times. Please also complete the form at the bottom of this page.
For children younger than 6 years, there is a schedule of available times:
- Generally, Baptisms are celebrated at Queen of Angels Church in English on the second Saturday of the month at 12:00 pm and on the third Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm. Please phone the Parish Center (773-539-7510) to arrange an English language baptism.
- Generally, Baptisms are celebrated in Queen of Angels Church in Spanish on the first Saturday of the month at 12:00 pm and the fourth Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm. Call 773-539-7510 between 12 noon and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, for assistance in Spanish.
Parents presenting their child for baptism must attend a Parent Night of Reflection on Baptism, typically held in English on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:00 pm and in Spanish on the 2nd or 3rd Saturday of the month, prior to their child’s baptism. These classes are currently being offered via Zoom.
Families wishing to have their child baptized at Queen of Apostles encouraged to register as parishioners. Donations for baptisms may be given in person at the Baptism or online via GiveCentral.
Special arrangements can be made through the parish office to schedule and prepare for the Baptism of a school-age child, youth or adult, according to each family’s needs.
