My name is Matthew Bell, I am a senior at Amundsen High School and a fellow member of Queen of Apostles parish. Through my school I’ve gotten involved with Best Buddies, an organization that promotes inclusion and offers services for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Right now, there is a major fundraiser going on for Best Buddies called Champion of the Year, where a small group of “Champions” try to raise the most money for Best Buddies before a large Gala event on October 22nd. I am a Champion this year, and I hope to get your help in supporting such an amazing organization.
Inclusion is important. That’s why I wanted to get involved with Best Buddies. Everybody deserves the chance to make strong, lasting friendships. Everybody deserves to feel accepted, to feel like they belong. By giving to Best Buddies, you are helping us bring people together despite our differences and show everyone that yes, they do belong. For this reason, your contribution is extremely valuable.
You can help support Best Buddies by donating to my Champion of the Year fundraising page. Also, the Jersey Mike’s at Lawrence and Hermitage is doing a giveback weekend from Friday, October 15th to through Sunday October 17th. All orders on these dates will help give to the fundraiser. I hope you will assist me in creating a more inclusive world with Best Buddies! Thank you so much!”
