Join the Institute for Pastoral Studies for a day to encounter Jesus through the eyes of St. Therese of Lisieux. “Face Value,” a presentation hosted by  homas M. Howard and Libia Paez-Howard, is planned for Saturday, August 13, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein. Become a Liturgical Minister

If you have been Confirmed and are a practicing Catholic, you are eligible to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion or a Lector at Queen of Angels.  At weekend Masses, Lectors read aloud the First and Second Readings or Prayers of the Faithful, and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion help distribute the Body and Blood of Christ. You will get back as much as you give. As you prepare a reading, the Word of God will become more intimately a part of your life, and as you share the Eucharist you will see Jesus more clearly in the people you welcome to the table of the Lord.  A training session is available for each type of ministry. Ministers are particularly needed for the 11:00 Mass. Please give this opportunity your prayerful consideration. Bundle Sunday

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s trailer will be in the parking lot at Western and Sunnyside the weekend of May 14-15 to accept donations for the thrift shop.  Please bring your donations on Saturday, May 14th, 4-5 pm or Sunday, May 15th, 10 am – 5:30 pm.  Please do not leave donations in the parking lot if the trailer is not open.
We can accept:
  • clothing for adults, children & babies
  • linens, shoes, and books
  • small housewares and electronics
  • dishes
  • glassware
  • utensils
  • radios
  • blenders
  • toasters

We cannot accept:

  • baby equipment
  • televisions

Please have all items securely wrapped and packaged to be shipped safely in a moving van.
