Interested in writing Catholic fiction or nonfiction? Join other Catholic authors at the Catholic Writers Conference Live at the Holiday Inn Chicago O’Hare May 30-June 1, 2023. Attendees will be treated to presentations and panel discussions by top Catholic authors and editors. Experienced authors will meet with small groups for mentoring. Flowers are a Mother’s favorite! On Saturday, May 13th and Sunday, May 14th the Respect Life Committee will be selling beautiful bouquets of fresh cut flowers after all Masses. Choose the perfect bouquet from a new variety of assortments! Devotion Bouquets- $10, Love You More Bouquets- $15, Heart Strings Bouquets-$20 and Lavender Essence- $25. All proceeds will be used to help young women facing a crisis pregnancy situation and in need of assistance. Please support the lifesaving work of the Women’s Centers of Greater Chicagoland. Today, Sunday, April 30 is the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. We see in Jesus, the Good Shepherd, the heart of every calling. Everyone is called, and everyone has a vocation in the Church. Please pray for an increase in vocations in the Archdiocese of Chicago! The Mass and Adoration with Cardinal Blasé Cupich is Friday, May 12, 5:30-7p.m. at Holy Name Cathedral. Queen of Apostles has two committees that would welcome help from interested parishioners – and are a wonderful way to meet
additional members of our community. The Arts and Environment Committee helps plan for the decoration of the church for major holidays and is in need of a committee head . The Gardening Committee needs volunteers to help maintain the lovely garden in front of the Rectory. Additionally, artists are needed to help plan a mural that will grace a new Children’s Liturgy space in the Church.
