On the weekend of June 29 & 30 we will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection to support the Universal Church and the work of the Holy See, including helping Pope Francis to carry out his charitable works. These works benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Please be generous.
The Archdiocese of Chicago is proud to participate in the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. Chicago’s participation in the Pilgrimage will offer Catholics various opportunities to participate in the celebration of the Eucharist as the source and summit of the Christian life, to encounter the Risen Lord in the Eucharist, and to deepen their discipleship in sharing His work of redeeming the world, won on the cross. Have you ever experienced the grandeur of African “classical” music? Are you prepared to be captivated by the enchanting melodies, captivating rhythms, and soul-stirring harmonies of Pan-African art “classical” music? We invite you to our Summer concert, Aféfé Àjoyò (Yoruba for “wind of celebration”). This is not just another concert, but an evening to experience and immerse yourself in the distinct sound and peculiarities of African music. The concert will be on Friday, June 21, at Queen of Angels Church, 2330 W. Sunnyside. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. A freewill offering will be accepted gratefully, please pay what you can.
Our annual second collection benefitting healthcare, wellness and retirement for priests of the Archdiocese of Chicago is next weekend, June 8 & 9 at all masses. Your generosity impacts 411 active and 253 retired archdiocesan priests. Please support the health and well-being of our
