Organ
The Queen of Angels Möller organ was installed when the Upper Church was completed in 1939. Since that time it has been a constant presence in the many Liturgical Celebrations at the parish church. Over the years it has had two major renovation, the first in the early 1980’s and the second in 2005 which included the addition of new pipe work in the Great division and a complete refurbishing of the 1939 console (pictured above).
The organ consists of approximately 1,500 pipes made of metal and wood. There are 22 stops divided over 4 divisions. The sound of the organ is very much in the “American Classic” school which was a prominent design style at the time the instrument was originally conceived.
Pianos
Queen of Angels houses two excellent grand pianos, a Yamaha C7 Concert Grand in the Upper Church and Mason and Hamlin 6′ grand in the Lower Church donated in 2012 by the Hankett family in memory of Deacon Dick Hankett. These two pianos support are used extensively to support the Liturgical Music of the parish and in numerous concerts held at the church throughout the year.
Handbells
The 3 octaves of Schulmerich Handbells at Queen of Angels are used extensively in the school music education program and to enhance our Liturgical Celebrations.
Piano Lab
In 2016, through the generous donations of many parishioners, Queen of Angels installed a state-of-the-art Yamaha piano lab. Consisting of 8 student pianos and a teacher piano the lab is used regularly by Queen of Angels school children and for group piano lessons through the Queen of Angels Music Institute.
